Game Submission Guidelines

Cactus Game Design, Inc. is in the business of designing and publishing games with biblical content and Christian themes.  We are also receptive to offers of rights to new games from sources outside the company.  We receive many unsolicited outside ideas and have found that most of these are not new and often are either concepts that are already in the public domain or are the same or similar to ideas developed by our own staff.  For these reasons and in order to avoid any misuse of your time or ours, we ask that you pursue the following procedures if you would like us to consider your game for publication.

  1. First, look at the games we publish and determine if your game is a good fit for our company. Try to be objective.  Why is your game a good fit for us?
    • Does it have a biblical or Christian theme?
    • Is it different from games we already publish and games published by other companies? For example, we would not be interested in a Bible trivia style of game.
    • Do you own the rights? This may seem obvious but, sometimes people contact us to suggest we produce a Bible edition of games like Risk, Monopoly, or UNO.  Unless you own the rights to one of these brand name games, the project is not something we would pursue with you.

  1. So far, so good? The next step is to email a basic description and overview of your game idea directly to me ([email protected]).  Please include the following information:
    • Game Category (card board, board game, role playing game, computer game, etc.)
    • Target audience (age group, boys, girls, families etc.)
    • Components (game board, cards, dice, movement pieces, special timer or other unique feature)
    • Brief description of play and winning conditions

  1. Once I have reviewed your e-mail describing your idea I will write back either informing you we are not interested or perhaps requesting a copy of the rules and other information.
  2. If we are still interested after step #3, we will request a prototype so that we may play the game.

Cactus Game Design, Inc. will not consider any product submission requiring a signed non-disclosure agreement.   There are no exceptions to this rule.
