Card Sleeves

Is there any ruling on "you can only have one color card sleeve" or something like that? If not, I think one should be implemented, as it seems like some people could use the different colors to gain an advantage (i.e. having good cards one color and evil cards another, or having battle winners a different color, etc.).

There is. All your sleeves must be the same. It's not written, but most/all of us enforce it out of fairness.

People that check in decks know to check for marked cards of any sort.
It's Malta! time! Available at CovenantGames.com or your local game store.

Hey,

It is not legal to have any "marked" cards in your deck.  That means that if you don't use sleeves all of your cards must be in basically the same condition and if you do use sleeves all of the sleeves must be indistinguishable from each other.  Redemption is much more lax on this than other card games (mostly when it comes to unsleeved cards) but if you tried to use two different colored sleeves on the same deck, I'm pretty sure every tournament host would not allow it.

What If I take my sleeves and paste together 2 halves of different colored sleeves. Is that legal?
I draw cards. And laugh at you.

I think that as long as its done in a random fashion then you should be able to have 2 color card sleeves. Why? I just always wanted to use a deck wit two different colored card sleeves.

But there's no way to verify that the sleeves are two different colors.  Someone could be putting specific cards in the second color and just telling you that it's random.

I sometimes get questions from opponents because not all of my sleeves are the same shade of black (some are matte, some are glossy)

I agree that different colors of card sleeves is NOT a good idea, and I wouldn't allow it at any of my tournaments.

However, if I ever did allow it, there would be one condition.  Before the game starts, your opponent could look at your deck and switch any number of cards to different sleeves in the deck that they want.

I think that sounds fair. :) I made a 200+ card deck once and didn't have enough sleeves for all the cards to be in the same color, so they were in two colors. I didn't play it in a tournament, though - only with family, and they saw me mixing up my cards before putting them into the sleeves and helped me do it.
