Yes, this is my third posting on this board.  Sorry, but I just enjoy making fake mechanics and seeing if they play out... :)

I playtested my last game for awhile, and came to the conclusion that it was way, way too simple.  I then playtested another game for a bit, and decided it was OK, but needed more cards, and it's theme limited it.

I then stumbled upon a nice mechanic that I like, but I decided to expand on it.  This is a Horde type game, where you swarm your opponent to win while fending off your opponents horde. What I really love about this game is that it's not limited to anything, so I could think up an unlimited supply of cards for it, and perhaps different card types.

You are the one actually being attacked, and you have 15 life points.  Your monsters protect you and attack the opposing monsters to get to your opponent.  Each deck has 40 cards.  No more, no less.

You draw 5 cards at the beggining of the game.  Any drawn character may be placed on the field, but you cannot attack on your first turn.  Each character has charge time, ranging from 1 turn to 4 turns, normally based on the power of the card.  The enhancement cards may be played at any time on your turn, regardless of how many Monsters you have on the table.  However, some enhancement cards have criteria to be met before playing them.

By the way...is this like identical to MTG?  I have never played or heard the rules of MTG in my life, so believe me when I say this was not an intentional rip-off...though it did rip-off a certian game "Monster Master" a bit.  Heh.  But that's only in the enhancement area.
