I discovered the show about middle of the first season last year.

It's all of three words.  For the OP, you probably should have more than that.

Oh, and you've garnered yourself somewhat of a reputation.  If you want people to like you, try not to be as loud and irritating as possible.

like most people i saw this show repeatedly being brought up in rage comics (reddit or rage collection only) and decided to check it out. I was then disturbed to find that what had become as popular as it did, was actually pretty terrible. Not trolling just giving my honest opinion. Hate on me if you wish. Also: to the OP, Trumpet blast is not for your spamming. Stop.

I just don't understand it I guess, and it's not like an "I hate all cartoons thing" because I still watch Ed Edd n' Eddy, Invader Zim, and occasionally still break out the Digimon. I just couldn't get in to this show.

This thread is walking a fine line between real and spam. I'll leave it open as long as it's leaning towards the former.

Heh, fair enough, although I will say later episodes are significantly better... especially the ones where characters have insane mental breakdowns. (see my avatar)

If you had to suggest an episode to skip to with the intent of swaying my opinion, what would it be?

It's the 4th attempt at making a My Little Pony TV show... and the first one that is actually good (thanks to Lauren Faust). For the sake of comparison, I  tried to watch some of the older ones... I couldn't get past the first minute of each.

It looks like an internet cartoon because all the animation is done in flash. (What I would give to see those flash files...)

Also, some backstory for those who don't know. The TV show was launched without too much fanfare, but then a handful of popular sites noticed it, and it absolutely EXPLODED in popularity across the internet. This is probably the #1 example of "Unexpected demographics" in history.

I can't believe that I'm hearing teenage guys (in fact intelligent strategic teenage guys) talking about actually LIKING a TV show about My Little Ponies.

Either this is one of the biggest trolls ever, or the universe just exploded.

The guys liking it is not a troll. There is actually quite the cult following for this show, and it's a large percentage of teen males.

I'm now officially scared and scarred for the rest of my life.
