Does anyone have the answers to these questions...How common are the dominants in the TXP packs? What are the chances of getting a Grapes of Wrath or a Mayhem? In a box of 24 packs, is there approximately 1 Grapes, 2 Grapes, more? I am considering buying an entire box of TXP's just to get a Grapes and a Mayhem, but I don't know if it is worth it. Will I even get one of each? Help please!

On average I think it is like 2 per box. So either 2 Mayhem and 0 Grapes, 1 and 1 or 0 and 2. It varies. My brother got 0 the first time and got like 3 of each the next time so it really can vary.

with the above based upon my experience as well. I did well with my TxP box because I got 4. (It was either 3 Mayhem and 1 Grapes or 2 of each---can't remember because it's been awhile). I think if you have the money, then a box is the way to go.

Each TeXP packs come with 2 TeXP cards so you have a 2 out of 60 chance of getting a Grapes or Mayhem in each pack. TeXP also aren't divided into rare/ultra rare/common/uncommon categories, so you have an equal chance of getting a dominant as anything else. I recently pulled a Grapes from a TeXP pack.

This probably isn't true, Rob probably puts less of the Doms into circulation just to keep trading up which helps him because then people will buy more TeP packs to get the Doms which is good business. I could be completely wrong about this though.

Wow! Hearing of everyone's experience/success with this already helps a lot! Thank you everyone! I will save up some money for the box and hope that my chances are good. I'd really love to pull 2 Grapes and 2 Mayhems out, but that seems near impossible. I bought 10 packs last week and only got 1 Grapes from it, but hopefully that isn't the norm. If anyone else has had successful attempts or failing attempts at getting dominants from a whole box, please share!

If you're doing it to just get the Grapes/Mayhem it isn't worth it. You can buy those fairly priced individually.

I will second this point. If you only want a couple cards from a set, I usually find it more cost effective to just buy those cards out right. However, if you are wanting to get a plethora of cards from a set and hope to potentially get a few specific cards amidst all the others, then a box may be the way to go

I usually opened 2 of Mayhem/Grapes per box (out of a sample of 5 boxes).

I know, but it made the packs seem so appealing and magical. Don't try bringing logic into my impulse buy...

The chance of in the same box is not though. There's an average of what 2 to 4 of these per box? and 3 were already pulled from that box?

As far as we know, each pack is compiled separately, so each pull is independent of other pulls.

Right but the average as stated by people in this thread who have had experience with buying full booster boxes, is 2-4.

On average (if you open a LOT of Thesaurus packs), you will get a complete set every 30 packs, so you should get a Grapes of Wrath on average every 30 packs. They are completely evenly distributed. Rob didn't keep dominants out to make people buy more. When he says they all have the same rarity, he means it.

If you're interested in a Thesaurus box, keep your eye on the Deal of the Day at Three Lions Gaming.... There will be one coming up within the next couple weeks on Thesaurus packs, which are only $4.50 normally already!

Alright, so between a friend of mine and myself, we bought a box and split it, and the results...2 Grapes of Wrath and No Mayhems. Not bad, would have liked a Mayhem though, but I can't complain because I needed Consider the Lillies and finally got one. I'll try again for Mayhem.
