Just to clarify on my Arioch comment...
He's only a block if your opponent doesn't have a prophet in play. When I used a Babylonian defense, I played maybe one game (out of a dozen or so) where my opponent didn't have any prophets in play. (For example, the T2 Offense--that you posted separately--has 8 prophets in it.) To add insult to injury, if your opponent has a prophet in his land of bondage, that counts towards having an opponent in play. You cannot, however, discard a male human you have captured to fulfill Arioch's SA, so you lose a character for every free block in addition to probably losing Arioch.
Mr.Hiatus:
Wait. Prophets are mostly green with some random ones in teal and other spread out ones. So unless I play green chances are I will not see a prophet. Also he is a Babylonian WC. That means Swift Horses is going on him so if they do have prophets it's not like he can not be used. And I was always under the impression that a lost soul is not classified under a civilization or prophet/priest. For ex. if you capture a Miriam and she was the only prophet then Arioch's SA now works because she is a lost soul, not Miriam who is a prophet.
TheraxC:
I don't know how this will do against Teal Z-temple
the captures will become dead cards when they get the temple out
Gabe:
Every brigade has prophets and most have some pretty good ones that see plenty of play (Captain, King David, Jacob, Moses, etc).
Captured characters keep their identifiers. If you captured Miriam there would still be a prophet in play.
EmJayBee83:
I'm not arguing for or against Arioch in this defense because you seem content. All I was saying is Arioch was part of my T2 Babylonian defense for a good chunk of time, and I rarely got to use his SA. If you check out the National winning decks at WildCard, you'll see a lot a prophets hanging around in those decks.
I think the lack of artifact trashers--for the reason Gabe pointed out--is going to hurt this deck a lot more than whether or not you keep one Arioch or two. (Although Gabe is wrong about one thing, IMO. If you are looking for an artifact discarding enhancement, you would want to use Destructive Decay in this deck as opposed to LuG.)
