In your opinion, what is the best Cactus product?

Excluding Redemption.

Just wondering. I have $45 in Redemption Cash to spend and I'm not sure if I want a board game or something, or if I should just wait and buy disciples. I've been thinking of buying Soloman's Temple, as King David and King Soloman are probably worth $20 alone and the board game has to be worth a couple plays. I've also considered Settlers of Canaan, as that seems to be the most popular.

I don't care too much about the Cannan promos, but why doesn't Soloman's Temple come with them? In the description at http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=33, it says

(Redemption® fans will want to note that Solomon's Temple is the only place you can find the promotional King David and King Solomon Redemption® cards!)

S. Temple does come with promos (Unless if it was reprinted and I never heard about it) unlike Settlers because when it was reprinted there were no promos put in the game.

I bought both games a while ago and got the promos from ST but not from Settlers. Settlers is a better game IMO...

ST was reprinted, but continued to come with the promos.

I'm not a huge fan of ST... I def. prefer Settlers. But honestly, I'd save for next set, especially if you're not pining for a game and know you're gonna spend your Redemption cash on it anyway.

I recommend Blink Bible Edition.  It's fast, fun and easy to learn.  It's a great game to play with non-gamers.  No special knowledge is required.  It's a great game to open up people to try more games with you.

I would give the nod to Settlers of Canaan, with Bible Apples to Apples as the runner up.

I would normally give a nod to Ark of the Covenant, and suggest you could probably get it alongside Settlers for that $45 amount, but it's gone now.  Sad.

Blink: divide the cards in half.  Each player has a stack of 30 cards in front of them.  Each player takes the top card off their stack and lays it in between them, face up.  These make the piles you will play on.  Each player draws a hand of 3 cards from their pile and play begins.  You play the cards from your hand onto the two piles in the middle.  You 'match' the cards based on 1 of 3 qualities.  Match the image (church, cross, dove, fish etc...) the color (blue, green, red, etc...) or the number of images (3, 4, 5 etc...).  If you can match a card in your hand with one of the piles in the middle, you play your card on that pile.  Once you have played out your hand, you draw another 3 cards.

The game goes really quickly.  You start to just glance at the cards and recognize matches.  The last time I looked, the record time for a game was 30 seconds.  It's easy and really fun to play.

R-Cash can also be used to pay for up to half of the fees for a tournament.

The 08-09 said redemption only. The 09-10 said any Cactus product.

I emailed Rob. He said you can get board games.
